CITY GOVERNMENT

The city of Auburn is proud of its mayor and council form of government. The City Council consists of seven members. Bob Engles serves as mayor with councilmembers Dennis Wittmann, Larry Holtzman, Annie Thomas, Glen Krueger, William Snyder and Mary Kruger. The city clerk is Sherry Heskett and the deputy city clerk is Denise Eggers. Mary Zimmerman is administrative assistant. The council meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall located 1101 "J" Street in Auburn. Items to be on the council agenda have to be in the clerk's office by noon the Wednesday before the meeting.
