History Days
Arbor Lodge
State Park offers Living History Days on Sept. 26, Oct. 3, Oct.
10 and Oct. 17 from 1-5 p.m. Demonstrations are held the four
Sundays in a row and provide visitors a chance to view life as
it once was. Historic demonstrations include apple cider pressing,
broom making, blacksmithing, and more.
Farmer’s
Market
A Farmer’s
Market is held on Thursday afternoons from 3:45 - 6 p.m. downtown
at the municipal parking lot on Central Avenue from Memorial Day
to Labor Day.
Home for
the Holidays
On Dec.
4 and 5, an old-fashioned holiday weekend is held. Santa
rides his sleigh in a parade that leads to the lighting of the
Yuletide tree. A tour of homes, decorated for the holidays, completes
the weekend.
Fourth of
July
A variety
of family events are held during the Fourth of July, capped off
by the annual Jaycees Fireworks Display. Regular events include
an ice cream social, patriotic entertainment, Color Guard presentation
and American Legion Baseball games.
Other Chamber
Events
The Chamber of Commerce also holds a Trolley Tour
of Lights in December.
