Vegetation & Litter
Any ground
within the city or within two miles of the corporate limits shall
be drained or filled to prevent stagnant water or any other nuisance
from accumulating. Property
owners are responsible for keeping the adjoining streets and alleys
free of any growth of weeds, grasses or worthless vegetation higher
than 12 inches.
Property
owners are also responsible for keeping the branches of trees
along the sidewalk in front or along the side of their property
trimmed so they do not extend nearer than eight feet above the
surface of the sidewalk.
The city
prohibits the throwing, depositing or accumulation of litter anywhere
within its limits.
Violations of this ordinance would constitute a
Class V misdemeanor.
