ACTION CENTER
The Tecumseh Action Center, located at 172 South Fourth, offers seniors in the community a place to meet and visit.
A noon meal is offered Monday through Friday at the
center. The Meals on Wheels program brings meals to seniors who are
homebound.
In addition to meals, the center offers Bingo on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday following the noon meal. On Fridays, a
drawing for a free lunch is held.
A group of gentlemen come in to play cards daily at
the center while senior women gather for coffee on a daily basis.
Every three months the Blue River Area Agency on
Aging gives a nutrition program at the center.
The Senior Center is also the home of
the Southeast Nebraska Community Action Agency, a group that serves
the lower income residents of Johnson County.
