Some changes have taken place here on the News-Press
sports sites since the conclusion of the spring sports seasons.
Here’s a closer look at the changes.
The name plate at the top of the Rocket home page has
been changed to include a web crawl for the latest sports updates and
upcoming game schedules. Currently, the crawl is featuring the top
performances from the 2007-08 school year. This will be changed as the fall
seasons get closer.
The menu on the left side of the page has also been
changed and now features links to some of the most popular sports websites
including the Nebraska School Activities Association, Huskers.com,
Rivals.com, and Yahoo sports.
The photo has been changed on the main page to allow
for a header over the top of the picture.
Below the photo are six headlines representing the
most current sports news from our print publications. Prior to the change
there was just one story featured. Currently, the site features some of the
top stories from the 2007-08 school year.
Result pages have changed as well. Check out
individual sports for the results from the past season and a complete state
history as well.
Favorite features such as the photo gallery and rant
and rave are still available and can be found by following the link to the
News-Press home page on the left side menu.
We hope you enjoy the changes and good luck to all
the teams in the upcoming year.
