Big first half lifts Cowboys

A 69-yard touchdown run by Sidney’s Triston
Crouch sparked a 43-point first half as Sidney topped the Hamburg football
team 56-28 on Friday.
Crouch scored twice more in the first quarter on runs
of five and 11 yards and added a 55-yard kick return for a touchdown at the
outset of the second half.
Hamburg posted four scores in the second half. Kaleb
Kahue rushed for a score from a yard out in the third quarter and Klinton
Hansen added a two-yard scoring run, also in the third frame. Doug Raymond
scored on a 52-yard run and Aaron Mincer scored on a 34-yard pass from Matt
Quick during fourth quarter action.
The loss by Hamburg drops the Wildcats’ overall
record to 3-4.
Hamburg opened the season with two losses before
winning three in a row. The team fell to South Page two weeks ago before
falling to Sidney on Friday.
Hamburg will return to action against Stanton at 7:30
p.m. Friday and wrap up the season next week at East Mills.
